Job Description

To achieve this, we not only provide care for pets in need, but also help people be the best pet owners they can be.The spacious, purpose-built onsite facilities care for Woodgreen animals on their journey to finding a new home. We are a training practice for both nurses and vet students on clinical rotation.We are looking for an experienced qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse to work in our busy ISFM cat friendly, surgery in Godmanchester with high quality patient care on a one year fixed term part time contract for a period of maternity leave.You will be expected to provide excellent standards of veterinary care and husbandry. In return you will become part of our friendly longstanding team. Our team support each other in the busy veterinary environment and achieve good welfare together withthe wider Woodgreen team.The successful candidate will;

  • Assist the veterinary surgeons and other key staff in the examination and treatment of pets in the Charitys care.
  • Provide nursing skills and expertise to pets, supporting their needs within a high welfare and veterinary context. This includes monitoring anaesthetics, diagnostic imaging and laboratory work, patient care and consultations.
  • Advise and support staff, volunteers and pet owners with information and guidance for them to treat and care for pets effectively.
This part-time role would be working an average of 30 hours a week which includes 1 in 3 weekends depending on the need operationally.To apply please send a copy of your CV and a supporting statement.
