Job Description

To achieve this, we not only provide care for pets in need, but also help people be the best pet owners they can be.Wood Greens Community Engagement Department are looking for a dynamic, customer-focussed individual to join the Pet Services Support Team as a Pet Services Support Assistant.This office-based role is at the forefront of promoting responsible pet ownership for all species as well as supporting owners in keeping pets in loving homes where possible, or guiding them through the relinquishment process. The successful applicant willbe motivated to actively support pet owners and will have excellent customer service and communication skills.You will be required to follow well-established procedures. Some independent judgements will be exercised when carrying out instructions, under general supervision.Role responsibilities include:

  • Responding to a high volume of customer phone calls and contacts to determine appropriate service
  • Gathering required information needed for animals entering Wood Green for rehoming, making decisions on whether we can help with rehoming
  • Book advice calls for owners with our specialist team and deliver low level holding advice where appropriate
To be considered your experience to date will include:
  • Working in a customer services or call centre environment
  • Ability to prioritise workloads with minimal supervision
  • Proven ability of delivering excellent customer service both verbally (on the telephone) and written, with empathy and emotional resilience
  • Demonstrate accurate recording of data
Further training and support will be provided.The starting salary for this position will be £20,177 - £21,912 per annum depending on experience.This vacancy may close earlier should we receive high volumes of applications. Interviews may commence prior to the closing date.
