Job Description

Are you passionate about animals and would you love to work for one of the countrys leading animal charitiesIf the answer is yes, I have the perfect HRBP role for you.Based at their site in Godmanchester, reporting to the Director of People and Culture, you will form part of a HR Business Partnering team working alongside the volunteering, talent and recruitment and shared services HR team. Hybrid working on site at least2 days a week in the office. Wood Green employs over 350 people plus 800 volunteers who are all integral in supporting and delivering the aims of the charity. The People Partner works closely with key stakeholders across all directorates to provide advice, support and guidance to enable Woodgreen to develop a workforce that can deliver the charitys strategic goal.The key focus of the People Partner role is to:

  • Inform, drive and support ongoing organisational change and improvement
  • Put learning, wellbeing, agility, collaboration and inclusion at the heart of their culture
  • To develop and deliver the people agenda in their area of responsibility, improving organisational performance;
  • Understand and translate organisational needs and provide responsive and impactful services that support delivery.
About you
  • You will an experienced HRBP or maybe an HR Advisor looking for your first step into an HR Business Partner role. Working closely with the talent, people services and share services team you will coach key stakeholders to champion and foster and embedbest practice.
  • Educated to A level standard with CIPD level 5 or above
  • Substantial experience of working in a HR function supporting a diverse customer group, operating at HR Advisor level or above
  • Significant experience of managing employee relations issues, providing advice and solutions on a wide range of complex HR issues within a diverse organisation
  • Significant experience of developing policies, streamlining procedures & identifying areas for process/service improvement
  • Demonstrable experience of leading change management exercises, i.e. organisational restructuring, remodelling and redundancies
  • Empathy is essential with both individuals and the charity sector.
  • Professional approach and positive attitude, with advanced resilience and tenacity
