Job Description

Due to continued growth I’am currently recruiting for a Tool Maker to work with a well established Press Tool manufacturer based near Kieghley. As the Tool Maker you will be responsible for maintaining a wide range of tools whilst being familiar with a variety of conventional toolroom machines including millers, grinders and lathes.Duties:

  • Break down and repair of tools for maintenance, repairs and re-grinds
  • Building and developing new press tools - progression and single stage and sample tooling
  • Provide feedback to the design department to update technical data
  • Carrying out tool trials and quality checks
  • Milling, Turning & surface grinding
    • The successful candidate for the Tool Makers position will have the following experience:
  • Apprentice trained, time served Tool Maker (Essential)
  • Experienced in high precision conventional Milling, turning & surface grinding (Essential)
  • Repairing and refurbishing Multi stage progression tools (Essential)
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings (Essential)
