A passionate and innovative business culture and exceptional support networks make Hartpury an ideal career choice.About the RoleWorking as Part of the Sports Turf Team looking after 8 grass pitches, 2 artificial pitches, Golf facilities and surrounding areas.

  • Match Day preparation of the Alpas Arena for all elite Rugby fixtures, including Hartpury RFC (Championship) and Hartpury WRFC (Allianz Premier 15s).
  • General pitch maintenance of all grass training pitches.
  • Support the Team during annual pitch renovations.
  • General Pitch maintenance involving a range of turf care machinery.
  • Ensuring that all the areas are always maintained to a high standard, providing a clean and attractive environment for students, staff and visitors.
  • Ensure that all machinery and equipment is kept clean and always in working order.
  • Follow strict Health and Safety procedures to operate in a safe manner across the Campus.
    • About You
  • You must be adaptable, and be able to orgainse your time to ensure that tight deadlines are met.
  • You must be able to work as part of a team using your own initiative without need for constant direct supervision.
  • You will have a good knowledge and practical ability to work across a range of sports surfaces, grounds maintenance tasks and machinery is necessary.
  • You will demonstrate a good knowledge, and ability to drive tractors with PTO driven implements and a range of Sports Turf machinery would be desirable.
  • Previous grounds care (Sports Turf) experience is essential. Industry backed qualifications would be desirable.
  • Any other landscape qualifications (ride on mowers, brush cutters, PA1 & PA6) would be an advantage.
