Job Ref: PK-1442Wellbeing PhysiologistLocation: Govan and Scotscun, ScotlandJob Type: Fixed Term 6 Month Contract - Full TimeOccupational Health Staffing are looking to recruit a Wellbeing Physiologist to work in Govan and Scotscun, Scotland on a full time 6 month fixed term contract. The role will involve:- Working on a new project, health screening and health coaching- To deliver lifestyle clinical assessments of patients.- To conduct one-to-one and group-based health and wellbeing interventions.- To provide evidence-based advice tailored to the patient’s health profile (adiposity, biochemistry, blood screening) and stage of behaviour change.- To formulate and implement written action plans based on treatment prescription, which is modified for the applicable stage of change.- To support patients living with lifestyle induced disease to make positive and sustainable lifestyle choices for enhanced chronic disease management.- Provide guidance and support to employees to make positive lifestyle changes, including nutrition and exercise habits.- Give assistance and reassurance to clients during their medical tests.- To deliver evidence-based exercise sessions to groups.- To use specialised equipment to perform clinical physiological tests.- To record and analyse physiological data.To apply you will need to be a qualified and experienced Wellbeing Physiologist. To be considered for this role you need to be qualified to degree level or equivalent in Sports Science/ Health Science/ Exercise Physiology/ Sports Therapy and previous experiencein sport, medical, health, wellbeing or fitness environments or studied human physiology, exercise, biochemistry, anatomy/biomechanics, psychology or nutrition. Qualifications in Level 2 Gym Instructing, Level 3 Personal Training and Level 3 Exercise Referralare desirable.Salary: £competitive + Benefits
