Job Description

Sous Chef - Permanent - Central Glasgow

  • £14.00 per hour
  • Monday Tuesday Wednesday 06.30-2pm then Saturdays and Sundays 07.00-Noon
  • Central Glasgow
Purpose Of Role:Acting as second in command to the Head chef, you will be required to carry out the following tasks:
  • Supervise and direct members of the kitchen.
  • Ensure food is prepared and served in line with the head chefs specifications.
  • Delegate cooking tasks
  • Assist in preparing new menus
  • Assist in sourcing products
  • Order new stock
  • Ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards of the kitchen are maintained at all times
Essential Requirements:
  • A recognised food safety qualification
  • Time served experience as a chef or sous chef
  • Willingness to work Mon, Tues, Wed 06.30-2pm AND Sat and Sun 7am - Noon - ESSENTIAL
  • Supervisory experience in a catering environment
  • Good knowledge of food preparation and cooking in commercial kitchens.
