As a Barclays Software Development Engineer in Test, you will be assisting the Test team with knowledge in Automation testing. As a successful candidate you should have knowledge on server-side development (C#, n-tier architecture, WCF, windows services,MS SQL), with some elements of web development (ASP.NET, JavaScript), depending on your skills and experience. You will be involved in developing inhouse tools for performing middle tier validations and running the cases to be part of continuous integrationof builds. What will you be doing• Developing BDD Framework using SpecFlow • Enhancing the existing automation frameworks e.g., Selenium, Specflo, and the like as per new requirements and creating/amending automation test scripts • Identifying and defining the testing scope for maximum automation coverage • Executing various automation suits, analysing the automation results, defect reporting and tracking defects till closure for sprint and releases • Performing E2E testing activities around the new requirements with focus being on in sprint automation • Working closely with Testing Team, BAs, Developers, PMs, and the like for seamless deliverables • Performing regression testing for various releases What were looking for:• Development experience in the IT industry • Knowledge of BDD using Specflow & working knowledge of .Net and C# • Good knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming, exposure to design patterns • Understanding of web application architecture XML, WebServices (SOAP), MQ Skills that will help you in the role: • Domain skills- Prior knowledge of Client and Counterparty Reference Data, Assassin • Working knowledge of SpecFlow, Cucumber test automation framework, Selenium • Experience in Executing Web Services & GUI Based Testing • Basic knowledge of AutoSys, Feed processing Where will you be workingOur new state-of-the-art Campus, right in the heart of Glasgow is a hub of creative collaboration.
