As a Barclays Technical Lead, you will be an integral part of Corporate Data service team that provides a centre of excellence for data and integration services across CIB Technology. In this exciting opportunity, you will manage the delivery of AbInitio,Python, Hadoop & MongoDB based batch and real time integration solutions and maintaining them. This role will also be responsible for the migration of on-prem ETL applications on to a Cloud based infrastructure. What youll be doing You will be involved in the delivery of high level and low level design documents with middleware strategy, standards and adhering to BEM middleware principles Devising ETL/API based strategy and providing solution design options for data integration applications Utilising your understanding of Data Acquisition and Lineage where appropriate Supporting Data Discovery and Analysis and accountable for cost and effort estimation Managing other Data and Software Engineers on a regular basis. Documenting all work in accordance with agreed standards as and when required Reporting the progress in JIRA against assigned activities in a timely manner Developing exceptional relationships with stakeholders and liaise for all different phases of release management What were looking for: Extensive knowledge of leading applications based on Java based Object Oriented Programming Good Knowledge of Datawarehousing Concepts/Big Data/Hadoop Knowledge of both traditional Relational DBMS & NoSQL Working knowledge of any ETL tool: Abinitio/Informatica/Datastage/Talend Unix/shell scripting experience Skills that will help you in the role: Data modelling knowledge Experience communicating technical projects to non-technical stakeholders Where will you be workingOur new state-of-the-art Campus, right in the heart of Glasgow is a hub of creative collaboration.
