Job Description

Our client is seeking to employ a Soft Services Manager at a popular Retail Centre in Glasgow. You would be responsible for the high standard of delivery of soft services (cleaning and security) within the Centre and Car Park.It is an essential requirement to provide a safe and pleasant environment for both customers and tenants at all times, through the monitoring of Health and Safety systems and procedures and the promotion of best practice through all tasks.The Soft Services Manager needs to be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills and be a strong leader, and to ensure the smooth running of the Centre and the Car Park preserving an environment where employees, visitors and property are safe andwell-protected.Essential Requirements:

  • Previous experience of working in a similar role.
  • Able to work under pressure to deadlines.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and be able to cope with demanding situations as they arise.
  • Good understanding of health and safety requirements.
  • Ensure a safe and secure environment for customers and staff.
  • Flexible approach to working patterns.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience of preparing written reports.
  • Must be in possession of a valid SIA Licence.
  • Honest and reliable work ethic.
Desirable
  • In possession of a valid first aid at work certificate
  • IOSH Managing Safely or similar
  • Valid CCTV SIA Licence
  • BICS Training
Hour: 40 hours per week, including the requirement to work some weekends and occasional nights.Main Duties:
  • To provide an excellent standard of customer service
  • To monitor and report of relevant key performance indicators
  • Management of small projects
  • Provide continuous improvement reviews and development initiatives
  • Oversee holiday, rotas etc.
  • Monitor H&S and promotion of best practice
  • Assist with recruitment, training and supervising of staff
  • Investigate ad resolve minor complaints
  • Deliver inductions and staff training
  • Completion of time-sheets
