Skilled Multi-Tradesperson | Kirkintilloch | 38 hours a week, covering 9:00am5:00pm | £30,000£35,000 per annumOur client is looking to add to their small team and is currently looking for a competent, flexible, Skilled Multi-Tradesperson capable of undertaking their field of expertise to a high standard but more importantly have a good understanding of most otheraspects of construction and general maintenance.They always endeavour and pride themselves in providing an efficient, professional service covering a wide range of trades including, Joinery, Decorating, Plumbing, Flooring, Buildering Works, landscaping and gardening work and Roofing Works.Apart from the usual traits of being hardworking, honest, reliable and able to work on your own initiative, as a company that is community focused where their profits return to the local and international community, they are looking for someone who can seewhat they do in their everyday work as benefitting other people whilst at the same time being committed to excellent customer care. A positive attitude, behaviour and an awareness of how important it is to be professional at all times are intrinsic to thispost as you will be an ambassador for the wider work of the organisation.All their advertised posts are linked in with their partner organisations learning hub so there will be an expectation that the successful candidate will be involved in providing some skills training to Learners. • Must hold a current, full UK driving license, and have access to a roadworthy vehicle, whilst maintaining the appropriate business insurance for the vehicle for the purposes of the role.
• Experience in working on Multi Trade Projects.
• Good Organisation and Communication skills.
• Willing to complete a DBS check.
• Have the ability to plan and work on their own initiative
• Be an excellent communicator with great influencing skills.
• Ability to be able to price appropriate quotes.
• You will be adaptable and agile, executing all tasks to the highest standards.
• You will have a history of finding solutions to challenges and be unwilling to have your work associated with poor workmanship or unprincipled practices.
• Professional presentation and attitude.
• Ability to maintain focus while managing competing demands.
• Maintaining knowledge and understanding of, and complying with company policies, procedures, and codes of conduct.

What will your role as a Skilled Multi-Tradesperson look likeCarry out tasks such as the following:

• Plumbing: Carry out a range of plumbing repairs and minor installations.
• Carpentry: Carry out a range of carpentry and joinery repairs and installations including installation and/or repair of various windows, doors and frames, UPVC components, framed ledged and braced, ledged and braced and internal plywood doors; fences, soffits,fascia and bargeboards. Joinery work includes the fitting of and/or repair to architraves, skirting bath panel and frames, the fitting of kitchen units and worktops, the fitting and repair of double-glazed units, locks, floorboards, and stud walls.
• Plastering: Carry out a range of plastering works including re-skimming, rendering, patching and Artex cover up.
• Painting and Decorating: Carry out a range of painting and redecoration tasks including prepare and clean surfaces using methods such as scraping, sanding and steam cleaning; remove wallpaper and loose paint; repair cracks and holes in walls and joineryby applying fillers/sealant. Prepare/sand surface for application of decorative product.
• Groundwork: Carry out a range of groundwork, fencing and clearance repairs and renewals.
