Job Description

SHEQ AdvisorUp to £40,000 + BenefitsGlasgow, Scotland (Remote Based)Penguin Recruitment are proud to be partnered with one of Europes leading Environmental and Engineering Consultancies, who are globally recognised and employ over 3000 staff across the UK and afar. This well-established company have seen tremendous year-on-yeargrowth and due to new continued success, are looking to recruit an ambitious SHEQ Advisor to join their team and cover the Central Belt area.The ideal SHEQ Advisor will have 2 + years experience working in health and safety and will possess the NEBOSH General certificate with TechIOSH (& ideally) IEMA membership. You will have a genuine passion for health, safety quality and environment a backgroundin construction or civil engineering is highly desirable. This is a remote based role that will involve commuting across sites, so possessing a full UK driving license is essential.As a SHEQ Advisor, you will be responsible for ensuring projects comply with current SHEQ legislation and that safety policies and practices are adopted and adhered to.Additional duties & responsibilities include:

  • Develop and implement SHEQ policies and procedures in the office and on-site
  • Carry out risk assessments, audits and site inspections
  • Ensure policies and procedures are being properly implemented and high standards are maintained
  • Manage the ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 management systems
  • Carry out incident/accident investigations
  • Deliver training on best working practices
  • Encourage a positive Health and Safety culture throughout the organisation
