Together with our network of partners, we provide free support, information, advice, financial assistance and services for horticulturalists and their loved ones experiencingillness, disability, bereavement, family breakdown and financial difficulties.We have a real focus on improving the health and wellbeing outcomes of people working in horticulture and have an ambitious preventative strategy to create better futures for people working in horticulture.We are currently seeking a Service Development Manager to join us on a permanent, full-time basis.The Benefits- Salary of £34,000 per annum- 25 days’ holiday per annum plus Bank Holidays increasing with long service- Pension- Sickness pay- Buy extra leave- Time off for dependentsThis is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced service development manager with fantastic team-management abilities to join our crucial organisation.In this highly rewarding role, your talents will help us to continue our vital work, ensuring we can keep providing advice and care when horticulturalists need it most.What’s more, by joining our friendly team, you will have the chance to further your professional experience and grow your portfolio whilst making a key difference to our organisation.The RoleAs a Service Development Manager, you will design and deliver a long-term integrated strategy for our services across Scotland and Northern Ireland.Working closely with Heads of Service and external partners, you will devise effective interventions that are grounded in evidence and research, our strategic priorities, our budget, and the needs of the horticulturalists we support.You will enhance the quality of our services across Scotland, working with key stakeholders and developing new channels of support to ensure we can provide the most effective services we can.About YouTo be considered as a Service Development Manager, you will need:- At least five years’ experience of leading service development and overseeing successful implementation- At least three years’ experience of co-producing flexible and responsive services at scale- Experience of developing and implementing new advice and information services- At least three years’ project management experience- Experience of understanding regional service needs and using research information and reliable data- Experience of undertaking research to support strategic development- Experience of recruiting, training and managing volunteer teams- A successful track record in developing successful, effective partnerships and co-production of programmes at scale- In-depth knowledge of the health, housing, social care and welfare strategies across Scotland- In depth knowledge of safeguarding practice and procedures- The ability to maximise the opportunities presented by technology to deliver services and reach wider audiences- Excellent interpersonal skillsThe closing date for applications is 19th November 2023.Please note, we reserve the right to close this vacancy early should we receive sufficient applications.Other organisations may call this role Charity Development Manager, Service Manager, Advice Service Development Manager, or Charity Service Manager.Webrecruit and Perennial are equal opportunities employers, value diversity and are strongly committed to providing equal employment opportunities for all employees and all applicants for employment.
