Job Description

Are you an experienced Revit Technician looking for your next career challengeIf so, Blueprint Recruitment may have the perfect position for you!We are working alongside a leading multi-disciplinary Engineering Consultancy, who are searching for a motivated Senior Revit Technician to join their team. This permanent position requires the successful candidate to operate on a hybrid basis, attendingthe Glasgow office 3 times per week to work on a variety of exciting Building Structure projects.Our client is seeking this new position due to their aspiration to grow their structural capability in Scotland and the UK. They provide Design and Engineering services and solutions across a range of sectors, including, Aviation, Rail, Water, Defence, Residentialand Transportation.Responsibilities:

  • Producing accurate and reliable 2D structural drawings and 3D REVIT models from Engineering sketches
  • Delivering structural steelwork drawings, reinforced concrete drawings, RC detailing, and schedules.
  • Proficiency in packages such as CADS RC is mentioned
  • Mentoring junior technicians
  • Working closely with engineers to understand and foresee practical challenges within a design.
  • Collaborating with the team to resolve design and detailing challenges
  • Responsible for document control using electronic management systems
Requirements:
  • Fully proficient in the use of AUTOCAD and REVIT Structure
  • Robust understanding and working knowledge of CIC BIM Protocol and PAS 1192
  • Ability to develop project BIM Execution Plans highlights project management skills
  • Demonstrated capability of problem-solving and understanding the wider engineering context of drawings and models
  • Holds a valid full clean driving licence
  • Experience with packages such as Navisworks is mentioned
  • Ability to develop 3D structural models to BIM Level 2 requirements
  • Proven track record in CAD and REVIT delivery from concept to construction
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team of engineers and technicians
  • Good general knowledge of construction techniques and materials
  • Good organizational and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to work well under pressure
