Job Description

Are you a talented, creative and multi-disciplined Senior Designer who would thrive in a fast paced and fast-growing technology companyThe world of Fintech is booming and our client are looking for an experienced Senior Graphic Designer to join their team and help define the companies brand and presence.This is a fantastic opportunity for any designer who wants to make a real impact within a growing company and really stamp their style on multiple projects.Reporting to the Design Lead, you will be a critical member of a growing team and bring a robust creative viewpoint to each project. You will have a strong background in providing a consultative approach when liaising with key stakeholders and have an exemplaryproject management skill set to lead on design projects and briefs.As a member of the Design team, you will:

  • Act as a brand custodian to ensure creative output is consistent across all channels. Work closely with the head of design to ensure that all design work is in-line with the brand strategy.
  • Oversee and take ownership of design projects, from conception to delivery.
  • Collaborate with our senior developers, marketing, and design lead to help define creative briefs and strategies and deliver the best solutions to take concepts and develop them across all touchpoints.
  • Liaise and coordinate with other functional teams such as Operations, Development, and Marketing to ensure uniformity of design and brand.
  • Present design ideas and discuss with multiple teams for feedback and revisions as required
  • Maintain our design system and the related standards that enable the wider team to produce high-quality design and content at scale.
  • Present design output while being able to confidently articulate design decisions based on validation and experience of best practice.
  • Provide input where needed to the project and department managers to enable them to establish realistic expectations and timescales at the outset of the project/phase of work.
  • Ensure that the creative brief is challenged when necessary and sets you and the team up to deliver top-class work.
  • Bring innovative ideas to the table when executing creative briefs making sure to stay within the realms of our brand guidelines
  • Manage ad hoc requests on time to ensure the business is supported in all its creative requirements
Does this sound like you
  • Several years of hands-on, industry design experience, with previous experience in managing a team of creatives.
  • The ability to work under pressure, to tight and frequently changing deadlines across multiple projects.
  • Understand key client/audience behaviours, needs, and goals, the competitor landscape, cultural and social trends as well as emerging trends and the impact it has on the work we produce.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to relay proposed design solutions to stakeholders who may not have a design background.
  • Ability to understand and translate detailed content and synthesise it into compelling design and layout that answers the brief. (Confidence and experience to know when to push back on the brief and or use initiative to offer up alternate options for review).
  • An awareness of the design industry and trends.
  • The ability to work within a team but also on your own.
  • The ability to think creatively and deliver clever concepts with pixel-perfect accuracy and high attention to detail.
  • Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • A passion for and strong understanding of design principles, including typography and layout.
  • Extensive experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft apps, and Figma.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and familiarity with technical constraints and limitations as they apply to design.
Desirable, but not essential
  • Understanding of UI/UX production.
  • Experience working within the Finance or Fintech sector.
  • Experience creating hi-fidelity product designs, design ideas, user flows, wireframes, sitemaps, and prototypes.
  • Experience in motion graphics design and production
