Senior Embedded Software Engineer - Glasgow Hybrid - To 60KLoriens exciting Glasgow based client is a leader in the creation of bleeding-edge products for industries including medical research, renewable energy and more. On the back of a boom in demand, theyre in the process of significant internal investmentincluding the renovation of their R&D centre and a wide recruitment drive across their tech teams.Right now theyre looking to add a new recruit into their Embedded Software squad - much like those we have introduced ourselves who love the place already - including Senior (and Mid) level Software Engineers with strong C programming skills.In return for your efforts theyre happy to offer a great hybrid working model, flexible start and end times, and a range of other great staff-focused benefits on top of competitive remuneration packages.Heres some of what youd be getting up to:

  • Developing code to be used in key products made by the firm and used by customers around the globe
  • Using your skills to integrate developed software with hardware offerings
  • Be part of a cross-functional tech team working on exciting and cutting edge products
  • Help the engineering function to improve as you work and contribute to the scoping of wider development activities as you go
Here are the kind of skills/knowledge theyre looking for:
  • Strong track record of C programming and an Object-Oriented style approach to Software Engineering
  • Hands-on skills across Embedded Software and Hardware Integration, Verification and Testing
  • Knowledge of low-level driver development as well as Microcontroller interfaces
  • Good grasp of Real Time Operating Systems
