Job Description

Our client, a Chartered Building Surveyors firm, are seeking a Senior Architect to join their growing team in Glasgow. This is an exciting role for an Architect with at least 3 years practical experience to join an expanding team and have a clear path forprogression & professional development. Architects of all levels (Up to Associate) are encouraged to apply.The ideal candidate will have at least 3+ years experience working as a fully qualified Architect and possess a good knowledge of Scottish building regulations & planning processes. Our client use both Revit and AutoCAD on various projects so a knowledgeof at least one of these software would be desirable. In terms of sectors, the successful Senior Architect will work on a variety of Commecial, Residential and Retail developments.Senior Architect Position Overview

  • Work closely with other members of the design team to deliver packages of drawings on time and to a high standard of presentation utilizing companies drawing standards and templates
  • Where required, take responsibility for maintaining drawing records
  • Use Revit/CAD to produce technical details
  • Submit drawing packs online for planning and building warrant purposes utilising the E-planning Scotland portal and the Planning Portal
  • You will have the ability to deal with multiple projects at varying stages
  • Work within the Residential, Commercial sectors as well as Education and Healthcare developments
  • Work across all RIBA stages
  • Lead design teams
  • Prepare tender applications and presentations
  • Resolve problems and issues that arise during construction
  • Liaise with clients and develop key relationships
Senior Architect Position Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of Scottish Building Standards
  • Knowledge of English Building Regulations (Advantageous)
  • Confident in leading a team
  • Confidence working as part of a team, both in office and on site
  • Experience with AutoCAD and Revit
  • A portfolio of work that demonstrates a keen eye for detail
  • ARB / Chartered Architect
  • Live within a commutable distance of Glasgow
Senior Architect Position Remuneration
