Job Description

Job Title: Senior AdministratorLocation: Glasgow, G31 AreaDuration: Starting ASAP - 3 months (Possible extension)Hours: 35 hours per weekRate: £13.77 per hourDuties:

  • Provide efficient administrative support to assist in delivering teaching to the specific programs.
  • Organize timetables, documentation, and resolve related queries.
  • Support and distribute assessment activities, including booking rooms for events via the specific platform.
  • Resolve and manage queries from students and staff, providing advice and guidance as needed.
  • Advise lecturers on matters relevant to their courses and programs, including distributing and maintaining timetables and sites.
  • Perform routine and ad-hoc administrative duties for managers and staff, including coordinating staff vacancies, finance-related tasks, and research projects.
  • Prepare reports, process manager requests, and update databases using various software packages.
  • Independently handle room and event bookings, student locker requests, and equipment/stationery orders.
  • Coordinate student travel and accommodation needs via approved suppliers.
  • Manage HR-related activities, including coordinating vacancies and processing staff requests through the HR Core system.
  • Coordinate purchase orders, liaise with finance departments, and manage invoicing processes.
  • Assist with delivering a professional reception service, resolving day-to-day inquiries, and ensuring smooth operation of organized events.
  • Undertake any other administrative duties assigned by the Building Manager to support other departments.
Essential Skills/Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in minute-taking.
  • Ability to demonstrate competencies required for the role, or equivalent qualifications and experience at SCQF Level 7 or higher.
