Job Description

Regional Environmentalist - GlasgowRef: DB1213Competitive Salary Plus Benefits Our client is looking for a Regional Environmentalist to join their leading infrastructure services and engineering consultancy. The successful candidate will manage the Environmental & Sustainability Team across various regions.To be considered for this Regional Environmentalist role you will have:

  • Extensive consultancy experience
  • Management experience
  • Experience of highway/rail projects or similar
  • Full Membership of IEMA or similar
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
  • Brilliant time management and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Experience delivering sustainable solutions through design and construction
  • Understanding of environmental legislation
  • Experience of working with regulatory authorities and stakeholders.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Ability to plan and deliver projects in line with budgets and deadlines
  • Experience of managing a team of multi-disciplinary consultants
Working as a Regional Environmentalist you will:
  • Manage environmental and sustainability projects across various regions
  • Organise and plan the delivery of technical reports required as part of planning and licence applications
  • Support and mentor the team with development
  • Provide advice to the environmental and design teams to ensure compliance with legislation, licencing, and planning obligation
  • Organise meetings with statutory/non-statutory authorities and other stakeholders
  • Support with month-end process, applications, and valuing projects
