Reference Data Senior Developer Glasgow As a Barclays Reference Data Senior Developer, you will be joining the Reference Data team within Markets Post Trade area. You will be involved in projects focusing on server-side development (MS SQL, C#, Micro services, windows services, Workflow Engine, MongoDB,Elastic Search), with some elements of web development (ASP.NET CORE, Typescripts, REACT). What will you be doing • Handling the overall system design and contributing to the system architecture • Identifying and implementing major improvements to existing procedures and team processes actively to enhance efficiency • Writing well structured, high quality and performing code • Providing accurate estimates for assigned work • Identifying and escalating issues and risks in a timely manner to the development/project manager so that project risk can be mitigated with minimal impact • Working closely with team members in Prague, Pune, and New York - participating in and contributing to technical discussions What were looking for: • MSSQL T-SQL skills • Very good knowledge of .Net, .NET Core and C# • Good knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming, and exposure to design patterns Skills that will help you in the role: • Basic Knowledge of Elastic Search, MongoDB, Kafka, React • Knowledge of source control tools, full knowledge of the software development life cycle • Excellent written and verbal English language communication skills Where will you be working Our new state-of-the-art Campus, right in the heart of Glasgow is a hub of creative collaboration.
