We count some of the industrys leading talents among our staff, from green coffee buyers and roasting technicians, to barista trainers and fieldengineers.Do you want to join our team of top talent in an exciting and industry-leading organisation Read on!Position: QA Manager (Roastery & Group UK/Ireland)Location: Glasgow, Head OfficeJob Type: Full time, PermanentDays: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5pmSalary: Up to £45,000 DOEBenefits: 28 days annual leave increasing with length of service + 4 public holidays, medical cash-back programme, staff discounts and more!About the role:An exciting opportunity has arisen within Matthew Algie to apply for the position of QA Manager (Roastery & Group UK/Ireland) on a full-time permanent basis. In your new role, you will be responsible to develop, implement, and maintain systems to assure thesafety and quality of processes associated with: (1) production, development, purchasing, and storage of food related products manufactured by the Company; (2) production, purchasing, and logistics of third-party food and non-food related products suppliedto the Company and the Tchibo Coffee Service (TCS) UK & Ireland group. Additionally, you will ensure that the quality management system utilised for other company operations including UK/Ireland Group is fit for purpose and managed effectively.Key Responsibilities: Conducting management reviews of the system at appropriate frequencies Leading the development and delivery of effective HACCP systems appropriate to the companys product and process Manage and maintain the risk supplier quality assurance system in respect of supplier approval, review, and specifications management. Review, develop and maintain systems in-line with certification, customer, and legal requirements Develop and maintain appropriate specifications for third party and internal products All documents to be written and issued in accordance with document control procedures Manage the internal audit programme in line with the internal audit procedure as defined by certification, customer, and legal requirements Manage the QA team to effectively ensure that technical queries and tender support information requests are actioned in a timely manner Accountable for the management of the Pest Control contractor in line with pest control policy so contract is fulfilled in full Ensure that the QA team provides appropriate technical support to the Development & Process Improvement Technologist and NPD team during project development Devise an annual budget based on the operating plan and ensure that all expenditure is made following company procedures Personnel reporting to the role holder are to be managed and developed in-line with current procedures and potential future requirements.ExperienceTo be considered for this position it is essential that you have relevant previous experience in a similar role in a fast-paced Quality Assurance environment. Youll be highly knowledgeable regarding legal and food safety requirements with regards to food production.Skills / KnowledgeYou will have a degree in a relevant subject area such as Food Science or Food Technology, or experience to the commensurate level.
