As a Barclays Python Database Developer, you will be joining our growing Governance Risk and Control(GRC) team. You will have an exciting opportunity to be responsible for data analysis and development in multiple technical disciplines including, but notlimited to Python 3, MSSQL and Linux Shell Scripting. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing the REST API required for establishing connectivity between the systems. What youll be doing Assisting as required in the requirements determination for system enhancements and changes Ensuring code written meets the predefined company and department standards Providing support during SIT, QA and UAT test phases Diagnosing and providing resolution of defects found during SIT, QA and UAT test phases Supporting regression testing Building reusable code and libraries for future use Optimizing application for maximum speed and scalability Optimizing Database T-SQL Queries What were looking for: Working proficiency with Python 3 and Linux Bash Shell Scripting Basic Proficiency in developing the REST API. Basic Proficiency in AWS concepts. Basic Proficiency MSSQL database, and GIT Basic knowledge of application Infrastructure configuration and management. Basic knowledge of Unit Testing concepts and practices Skills that will help you in the role: Basic knowledge of DevOps concepts and practices Knowledge of ETL tools like Informatica, Alteryx or Abinitio.
