Job Description

Job Title: Commercial Property Claims HandlerLocation:Glasgow, hybrid workingSalary: £25,000 - £30,000Experienced in commercial or domestic property claimsOur client is a leading claims management and loss adjusting specialist, with a strong reputation and presence around the world.They specialise in providing services to a range of markets including aviation, crisis management, construction and engineering, entertainment and contingency, environmental consulting, marine to name a few.Currently they are on the lookout for a Property Claims Handler to join the team in Glasgow. Here you’ll get the chance to handle a portfolio of property and liability claims for clients in the UK as well as Europe.If you currently handle domestic property claims and are looking for an opportunity to progress, this would be an ideal step up for you.-What will you be doing

  • As part of the claims team, you will be required to review and resolve customer claims within authorised limits ensuring that both the customer and the business are satisfied with the outcome
  • You will be taking ownership of claims from initial call through to conclusion, this will include negotiation, decision making and excellent customer service
  • Build meaningful relationships with clients and colleagues, ensuring all stakeholders are kept up to date regularly
  • Via telephony, email and chat channels you will ensure delivery of a focused claims service ensuring a world-class customer experience
  • Produce and issue basic documents/reports in compliance with professional standards
  • Identification and resolution of potential fraud, repudiation and voidance
  • Ensuring invoices raised are accurate and timely
  • Work closely adjusters where appropriate
  • Attend client review meetings
-About you:
  • Property claims handling experience with an Insurer or Loss Adjuster etc
  • Good customer service, confident and professional manner when dealing with clients
  • Keen to work towards insurance qualifications such as CILA or Cert CII
