Job Description

Project ManagerStart: ASAPLength: 6 months initiallyLocation: Glasgow/Perth - HybridRate: £550 - £650PDIR35: InsideTrust in Soda are partnered with a leading energy company in the UK who are seeking an experienced Senior Data Project Manager to join the team to take ownership of key initiatives critical to the delivery of Finances System and Data strategic roadmap.Scope within this phase includes the implementation of a new chart of accounts (CoA) design in existing Finance systems, introduction of a new enterprise performance management (EPM) solution: Account Reconciliation; Consolidation; MDM; Project Planning & Reporting;and the foundation development of Finances Reporting and Analytics environment. This will be underpinned by the implementation Finance Data initiatives to support the development of a data driven culture within Finance.

  • Project Manager with experience of implementing data initiatives, in a Finance function.
  • Significant programme / project management experience, overseeing finance transformation projects involving large scale Finance Data initiatives and Business change.
  • Understanding of Finance Data in the context of Finance Systems migration, reporting and process changes.
  • A strong communicator and collaborator with excellent interpersonal skills, able to build relationships, manage key partners within the business at all seniorities and drive business change.
  • Experience in a previous Data Project role, for a large multi-business and multi-site organisation.
  • Full understanding of Data Governance in the Finance context.
  • Full understanding of "path clearing" activities required for finance system implementation.
  • Functional understanding of finance system architectures (From ERP through to reporting and analytics), proactively contributing to related discussions.
  • In-depth understanding, and significant experience, of Data products, services and systems.
  • Qualified accountant or relevant Finance experience.
  • Experience of having shaped business cases and delivering real benefits to an organisation.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
