Job Description

Are you a skilled Procurement Professional Do you want a role with a well-known company able to offer excellent benefits and experiences Three Bridges Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Procurement Manager for an organisation in at the forefrontof their field. They are based in the West of Scotland however this role will be predominantly remote. This is an excellent opportunity for you to be involved in both a high number of contracts as well very high value tenders.Why work hereThis is a fantastic role with benefits on offer of:

  • Salary circa £50,000
  • Primarily remote working with 1 or 2 days in the office a week

JobThe role of Procurement Manager will give you the opportunity to be involved with the following:
  • Control and manage the end-to-end process of tendering and procurement
  • Ensure commercial aspects of contracts are completed to the highest standards
  • Drive continuous improvement of market knowledge and develop key supply chain strategies
  • Maintain relationships with suppliers and internal shareholders
  • Develop targets and strategies, ensuring best conduct is being adhered to whilst understanding and mitigating risk
  • Work closely with customers and key contacts, communicating well and professionally
  • Assess supplier to ensure they are remaining contractually obligated
  • Make sure all materials procured meet quality and safety standards whilst being completely fit for purpose
  • Help to establish the procurement strategy for continuous improvement and high level performance
  • Ensure all relevant legislation and procedures are reviewed regularly
  • There will not be line management responsibilities in this role
YouAs a Procurement Manager you will be skilled &/or qualified in the following:
  • It is desirable to have a relevant degree, qualification or membership (CIPS is ideal)
  • Candidates from both public and private will be considered but it is advantageous to have similar public sector procurement experience
  • Excellent negotiation skills proved by past conduct during major contracts
  • Knowledge of well-known eTender programmes such as PCS-Tender
  • Knowledge of legislation and supply chain processes
