Job Description

A Principal HV Cable Design Engineer is sought for a crucial role which will see you focusing on leading design projects and providing technical support for high voltage (HV) cable systems. The role is based ideally in Glasgow, but depending on locationyou could be based at another office (Birmingham, Leeds, Epsom, Bristol)Client DetailsOur client is a prominent player in the Energy sector with a workforce of over 10,000 dedicated professionals across the globe.   • Lead the design and implementation of HV cable systems for a variety of projects.
  • Provide technical support and guidance on HV cable systems to the engineering team.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to ensure projects meet specified standards and requirements.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of net-zero strategies.
  • Monitor and manage project budgets and resources effectively.
  • Prepare technical reports and project documentation as required.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in HV cable systems design and net-zero solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
ProfileA successful Principal HV Cable Design Engineer should have:
  • A degree in Electrical Engineering or a relevant field.
  • Proven experience in HV cable systems design.
  • Strong knowledge of net-zero solutions and strategies.
  • Excellent project management skills.
