As a Barclays Java Developer, you will be working within the Prime Equity Finance team and their architecture which is undergoing a major tech stack modernization which will involve collaborating with traders on revenue generating programs. The primaryobjectives of this role is building, improving, and supporting Equity Finance trading services in Java / fit-for-purpose technologies. The secondary objective will be to replace existing stored procedures and legacy components with new Micro Services. What will you be doing Working directly with Product Managers and traders on financial models and calculations Accountable for specific project deliverables for EF Platforms Accountable for front2back development across Business/ Regulatory/ Control demands including DevOps, Barclays SDLC, Security, Stability and Maintainability Ownership and/or influence of change, project timelines, and architecture Designing, building, testing, and deploying Magics application components What were looking for: Previous experience working with core Java, Java Spring Boot/ Hibernate Past experience in SQL server Previous experience in messaging technology (MQ, Solace) Experience in Source Control (GIT) Skills that will help in the role: Past experience with Angular / Web Development Experience / understanding of the Unix / Linux operating system + shell scripting Experience / Knowledge of Windows Server Programming - batch scripting Experience with Autosys job scheduling, Maven and NPM Where will you be workingOur new state-of-the-art Campus, right in the heart of Glasgow is a hub of creative collaboration.
