Plant OperativeLocation: GlasgowSalary: £27.3k - £31k per annum (Dependent on skills & qualifications)Reference: REQ3710Do you want to be a part of an innovative and supportive team, where there are great opportunities for career progression and developmentWe currently have a Plant Operative vacancy available within our Plant Maintenance department based in Glasgow.What will you be doing day to dayYou will work with a team of plant fitters, either as an individual or as a small team, undertaking routine and non routine work on all plant and equipment items, including instrumentation, providing support to the various business units across Scotland.What you’ll needIdeally you will have experience of mechanical maintenance and will be qualified to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent although training will be provided where necessary.You will be able to demonstrate competence in the use of workshop equipment; ability to work within SGN safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with HS&E and Company legislation. You will also have a working knowledge of regulations associated withthe disposal of waste.You will have the ability to understand and work to instruction and be able to plan and organise resources in order to ensure that work is carried out efficiently.Experience of working in a team environment would be beneficialYou will have good leadership qualities together with excellent inter-personal skillsA full driving licence is requiredIf you don’t have all the qualifications, we would still love to hear from you… we provide our own specialised learning and development programs, providing access to learning tools to help you acquire the skills needed to excel in our environment.
