Job Description

Then look no further..Reed Health & Care Glasgow are currently recruiting for a Level 3 Early Years Practitioner to come and join one of our well-established clients based in Glasgow. This is a full time opportunity working 37 hours per week. The salary for this role is £26,000-£27,500depending on experience.What this role involves:
  • Overseeing the leadership and management or your allocated room to ensure that the safety and safeguarding and learning and development for all children is in line with the company’s key values
  • Working as part of a team to ensure safety, learning and development and parent partnerships for all children and families
  • Plan and lead stimulating and educational activities that engage children through curriculum clubs and trigger boards
  • Act as a key person for one or more children which will include monitoring their progress, updating and maintaining records, discussing and providing any challenging next steps and reporting to parents/ carers.
  • To ensure the maintenance of good standards of cleanliness and hygiene for the children attending the nursery
  • Recording any accidents or incidents accurately
  • Ensuring the company’s collection policy is followed – only a known person collects each child
  • Completely any mandatory training within given timescales
  • Attending regular staff meetings
  • Attending parents evenings
  • Updating care plans
  • Providing the best standard of care at all times
What experience is needed for this role:
  • Must have excellent listening and communication skills
  • Must have an SVQ Level 3 in Childcare
  • Must have previous experience of working in a nursery at Senior or Assistant Manager level
