Metadata Management Lead GlasgowAs a Barclays Metadata Management Lead, you will lead the team accountable for enabling firm wide compliance with the Global Data Management Policy and Standard (GDMS) for Metadata Management. The purpose of this role is to drive the execution of Metadata ManagementStandard delivery across the Business Units/Functions (BU/FNs) in conjunction with the Chief Data Office teams and help drive the future strategic direction of the firm in its Data Management. What will you be doing• Setting and coordinating the delivery of Group Data Management Policy and Standards in relation to Metadata Management • Partnering with BU/FN Chief Data Office teams from a data governance perspective to support their implementation of the Metadata Management standard • Driving the agenda on improvements and strategic change across the Group for Metadata • Ensuring implementation in support of broader strategic goals and objectives in relation to Data Management • Seeking out and solving problems, making decisions, and negotiating the right solutions to ensure business outcomes are delivered • Supporting the Business Unit CDO teams through deliverables, providing coaching and insight as needed, communicating clearly and often What were looking for:• Solid grasp of Data Management concepts • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to liaise with business and IT stakeholders at all levels of the organisation • Understanding and experience of agile projects including sprint planning and management Skills that will help you in the role:• Knowledge and experience of e2e lifecycle of Data Governance • Direct or indirect exposure to the Chief Data Office • Experience in either Data or Records change management Where will you be workingOur new state-of-the-art Campus, right in the heart of Glasgow is a hub of creative collaboration.
