L4 Solutions EngineerArchitecture, Solution Design, Cloud, Azure, InTune, Autopilot, M365, Workspace, SCCM, MDT, MDM, Pure Storage, Hyper-V, Backup, Networking55,000 - 65,000 per annum with 5,000 car allowance(driving licence needed)Livingston/Remote with travelling to different sites.The Solution Engineer will be responsible for completing technical projects assigned for Consultancy, Design, Installation, and support for our client’s customers.This is a customer-facing role within challenging environments, there can be extensive travel required to and from customer sites with a requirement to stay overnight depending on location and project size. This position requires working as part of a team oralone primarily responsible for completing tasks within agreed timescales. This role specifically requires extensive knowledge and experience of working with Microsoft Azure, InTune and Autopilot.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES• Visit customers on site Scotland wide to carry-out consultancy, installations & support.• Provide Technical input into new opportunities, gathering & clarifying Requirements from the client, compiling Technical Estimates, Solution Design and Scope of Work documentation.• Pre-delivery configuration and testing of servers and workstations to customer specifications.• Help with unpacking and setting up of servers and workstations onsite.• Receive fault reports, diagnose, and provide solutions quickly.• Evaluate new products & technologies when requested.• Produce report on every visit detailing work done, outstanding work and issues to projects team.• Assist Technical Support & Sales with queries and problems when necessary.• Assist and develop more junior engineers to work more efficiently and effectively.• Maintain current knowledge of hardware and software and a detailed knowledge of our client’s Product range.• To complete tasks efficiently and to target timescales.• Keep your Line Managers and the Projects Managers informed of any delays or problems that affect your performance on projects.• Strive to improve the efficiency of the department by reviewing and improving the current procedures and providing recommendations / feedback.EXPERIENCE• As a Level 4 role we are looking for an exposure to multiple fields and need to see experience / certifications in several of the desirable areas, specifically those in M365, Workspace Technologies and Cloud.• Experience of device image deployment solutions such as, Intune, SCCM, MDT, MDM etc.• O365 deployment.• Experience delivering and supporting end user compute environments, at least one of; Microsoft / Apple / Google.• Experience with Pure Storage• Experience deploying server & storage solutions, on premise and cloud.• Virtualization; Hyper-V / VMWare.• Backup solutions such as Veeam.• Networking – switching and routing, VLAN configuration, Wireless configuration and surveying.In the first instance, please submit your CV.
