Avanti Recruitment are currently working with one of the largest and most successful creators of scripted and unscripted content. A global entertainment powerhouse, who distribute over 20,000 hours of content for over 200 locations. They produce some of the most famous television programes. They are currently looking to take on a Java Developer who has great experience delivering high quality projects to time and cost.You will be working on a new project which the company have just brought on, you will have a good say in technologies used. If you use a certain tool, you think could help the company with the project then they are all for listening and possibly implementing. This role would suit someone who has worked in a financial or accounting industry along with some consultancy.You will be working in the systems teams of the IT department; you will be using your Java knowledge to support and deliver enhancements for critical sales and rights projects.You will be working across the full SDLC, including gathering requirements, analysis, design, coding etc. You will have a strong influence of the technical direction of your projects as well as being responsible for the design and implementation of solutions.Required Skills:- Excellent Java experience- Spring MVC / Vaadin or GWT- Oracle/ MySQL or MS SQL- Persistent API/ORM - JPA or Hibernate- SQL, PLSQL experience- Vaadin is extremely desirableDesirables:- Experience with bespoke financial or accounting databases would be advantageous- Junit Or similar- Jenkins- Spring framework or Google Juice- Maven or Gradle- Enterprise Java Beans- SeleniumThe salary on offer for this position is up to £85,000, the role is also very likely to continue past the 15 months contract and there may be a good chance of going permanent in the future.If this role is of interest, then click Apply Now!
