Job Description

Are you looking to develop a career in IT Want to start work with a supportive company with a keen interest in developing apprenticesWe are looking for an IT Technician Apprentice to join our team, IT COULD BE YOU! Employer description: Our client is going through a period of growth. As interest in the business grows they are keen to nurture an apprentice into this environment with a desire to do well. They are the only UK approved national scanning centre, offering real time status managementinformation. Based in Glasgow, they are keen to offer this exciting opportunity to the newest member of the team.This is an entry-level role but a pivotal one, as you have the opportunity to grow as the business does!Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that clients orders are processed and delivered by agreed deadlines
  • Communicate potential workflow issues to the Management team and provide alternative courses of actions
  • To understand and play an active role in the continued development of Business Management Systems
  • Create and maintain high-quality 3D products for various purposes
  • Monitor and report on IT systems and individual computers to detect any potential threats to security of the system or data
  • Operate 3D scanning equipment to capture real-world objects or environments and convert them into digital 3D models
  • Utilize industry-standard software such as Blender, ETEC and 3SHAPE
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure that products meet project requirements, are free of errors, and are ready for integration into larger projects
  • Maintain organized records of assets, project specifications, and revisions
  • Develop plans to safeguard computer files against accidental or unauthorized modification, destructions or disclosure and to meet data processing needs
Desirable skills:
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise
  • Good knowledge and understanding of disciplinary, grievance and absence management
  • Any knowledge of 3D printing is beneficial but not essential
  • Computer literate
  • Ability to as a member of a team and/or independently and use own initiative
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Tactful and discreet when dealing with confidential issues
  • Enthusiasm and willingness to undertake further training to develop skills
Desired qualifications: Higher level qualification in either IT, computing or engineeringSalary:£18,000 per annumWorking week:35 hours per week, Monday - Friday 7:30am - 3:30pmBenefits:
