Job Description

Internal Account Manager Were seeking a proactive and dynamic Internal Account Manager to enhance our client’s sales efforts and customer relationships. In this permanent role based in Kilmarnock, youll collaborate with External Salespersons and the Sales Managerto achieve sales targets, explore growth opportunities, and strengthen customer relationships. Working Monday to Friday 08:00 am. To 4:30 p.m. office based.Key Responsibilities:

  • Follow-up with customers for regular orders to meet spend targets daily.
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers through scheduled touchpoints, including Teams meetings and face-to-face appointments for External Salespersons, on a daily basis.
  • Book onsite meetings and trials for External Salespersons as needed on a daily basis.
  • Oversee growth and retention projects with customers, developing and implementing strategies
  • Handle inquiries above a certain value, obtaining costs from procurement, and following through to an order as required.
  • Assist in building quality presentations for business development or account processes on behalf of External Salespersons weekly.
  • Attend 1-1s with the Sales Manager to maintain accountability to targets and objectives weekly.
  • Manage customers pricing in line with the company price list, passing through increases where required, and resolving objections as needed.
  • Assist Customer Services in resolving queries for your accounts occasionally.
Skills and Experience required for the Internal Accounts Manager role:-
  • Maintain or improve relationships with customers.
  • Maximize customer profitability.
  • Identify, open up, and pursue growth opportunities in line with company strategy.
  • Ensure efficiency of external salespeople.
  • Promote customer and team satisfaction.
  • Develop an understanding of the product range and optimize sales strategies.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues for efficient team collaboration.
  • Follow up relentlessly and promptly with customers.
  • Excellent communication skills – literate, articulate, and numerate.
  • Ability to maintain relationships with colleagues, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Welcome feedback and training to continuously improve effectiveness in the role.
