You will play a key part in having a positive impact on the lives of the Armed Forces and our Veterans.Key responsibilities

  • Provides technical expertise for appropriate level distributed systems environments on issues related to servers, local services, data centres, server configuration, and to ensure that client needs are met.
  • Participates in requirements definition, specification, design, development, and integration of Microsoft Windows systems and on projects to ensure services adhere to client specifications.
  • Tests, integrates, maintains, and addresses escalated problems related to Wintel systems for smaller sized projects, including testing and integrating hardware and software, using appropriate resources.
  • Provide configuration management, inventory management, fault management, and trouble management support on already established servers or networks.
  • Supports maintenance and upgrades of Wintel computer environments.
  • Performs risk and consequence assessment for projects; assists in identifying cost reduction opportunities to safeguard company and client interests.

  • Required SkillsYou need to have:
  • Experience of Windows Server 2008/2012/2016.
  • Experience of Active Directory.
  • Virtualisation experience, ideally Citrix and WMware.
  • Experience working with systems management frameworks, protocols, and tools including SCCM.
  • Skilled in integrating distributed computing hardware and software systems.
  • Full driving license and a willingness to travel on occasion.
