Job Description

Information Security Officer - Glasgow Hybrid - 25-40K*Graduates with relevant qualification/s and knowledge will happily be considered*Loriens longstanding client - an award-winning firm with several hundred staff and offices across Scotland - are currently in the process of adding new talent into their function, this time in the shape of an Information Security Officer / Specialist.Alongside other Senior members of the security function, youll help to proactively analyse, develop and document business-vital security principles and procedures, manage incidents, contribute towards audits and assessments, and otherwise use your skillsto ensure the organisation is in line and up to date with regulations and standards.As well as hybrid working, theyre happy to offer this individual a comprehensive benefits package as well as training budgets for your ongoing upskilling, progression opportunities, and more.   • Develop and document security guidelines and procedures alongside Senior Security personnel
  • Working with representatives at all levels to tackle security-related enquiries and advise/support
  • Managing incidents and ensuring the proper logging processes are stuck to
  • Assisting on risk assessments, security audits, reporting, Business Continuity planning and relevant testing
  • Help wherever possible to ensure the ISO27001 certification and any other relevant security certifications are maintained
  • Use your knowledge of current standards to improve the function and wider strategies
What youll bring to the table:
  • General knowledge of information security and areas such as data protection, etc.
  • Decent grasp of IT Systems and Apps
  • Ideally but not necessarily knowledge of ISO27001 standards
  • Preferably a certification/qualification relating to Risk Management/Information Security/Governance/similar field
  • Ability to work with personnel at any level
