Renowned for developing and retaining the best talent on the market across all its disciplines, creating a highly engaging, interactive and diverse working environment forits employees.The RoleThis role will sit in their rapidly expanding finance team, presenting further opportunity to develop and grow with the business.The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the monthly Income related postings are accounted for accurately and within agreed timelines, as well as driving process improvements to help with team development.On OfferThe Income Accountant position is a permanent contract paying between £40,000-£50,000 plus an exceptional benefits package.The office is based in the heart of Glasgow and will operate on a hybrid working model. Some of the responsibilities will include:* To own the trading P&L and Balance Sheet accounting for one of our trading divisions, ensuring the monthly results are recorded completely* Liaise closely with regional CFOs and Business Partners on results and reporting.* Provide insightful analysis of the P&L and Balance Sheet on a monthly basis for senior management* Assistance and support in response to external and internal audit requests. Provide complex lead schedules for audit purposes, detailed analysis and well thought out solutions* Liaising with off-shore processing team to control posting of month end journal transactions and balance sheet reconciliations.* Liaising with Finance Business Partners and other departments out with the Income team to provide support for queries as they arise.* Build relationships within the wider Income team, and across other regional teams* Help drive forward change to ensure that department and team members improve, supporting graduates and part qualified students in their development.* Lead on the integration of acquisitions into the core accounting systems.Experience Required* Hold a relevant accounting qualification* US GAAP experience* Project management experience/experience of implementing new processes and/or controls* Ability to priority manage and adhere to challenging deadlines* Flexible attitude to dealing with multiple tasks and environments* Process redesign and implementation
