Job Description

Import or Export Operations Co-ordinatorLocation: Glasgow, G41Salary: £25 - £27K + Excellent BenefitsContract: Full-time, permanentKC Group Shipping Limited are one of Scotlands leading independent multi-modal logistics providers.We are going through a period of rapid growth and we’re looking for you to be our next success story!We have two vacancies available. One in the import department and one in the export department.Main responsibilities of the role:

  • Managing the operations process of key import or export accounts from door to door
  • Liaising with ocean carriers, airlines and overseas offices to provide end-to-end logistics solutions
  • Completing import or export Customs declarations and EMCS movements
  • Liaising with haulage and rail freight partners to complete final delivery
  • Monitoring shipments and completing regular tracking reports
    • To succeed in this role, you will have:
  • Experience in International Freight Forwarding Operations
  • Previously been employed within the International Freight Forwarding sector for at least 1 year
  • An understanding of Customs processes and systems used - CHIEF, Destin8, etc.
  • Excellent people skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, to communicate both written and verbally.
