My client is searching for an Immigration Solicitor or Fee Earner to join their Edinburgh, West Lothian or Glasgow, Lanarkshire offices. Summary of RoleTo deliver an excellent service to clients seeking immigration and nationality advice. This will include providing advice to individuals under the Skilled Worker and Global Mobility routes and advising businesses on compliance and right-to-work issues. Thisalso includes providing practical advice within appropriate timescales and ensuring compliance with divisional service standards.Key Tasks• Manage your caseload competently, professionally, efficiently and cost-effectively with minimum supervision to achieve client and firm objectives.• Contribute to the successful financial performance of the division by helping to develop the immigration practice.• Promote the services of the firm to all clients, actively seeking new contacts and converting your contacts into new business,• Continuously seek to improve own performance and that of the business.• Be proactive in the financial control of all your own and team matters, including accurate time recording and prompt feeing.• Contribute constructively to the work of other team members in the Litigation division and contribute to delivering technical training within the division.Qualifications and Experience• 1 year PQE + with relevant Immigration experience.• Experience in Business Immigration is desirable.Person Specification• You have excellent communication skills, you are articulate, you communicate clearly, concisely and without any jargon.• You enjoy working within a team and autonomously on your own initiative.• You are personable and good at building and developing client relationships.• You are confident and you have a strong belief in yourself and your own ability.Benefits• Profit Related Pay• Private Medical Insurance for all employees (BUPA)• Holidays starting at 25 days plus 9 public holidays (plus birthday off)• Cycle to Work Scheme• Life Assurance• Income Protection• Access to Comprehensive Well-being resources• Retail Discounts• My client operates on an agile basis reflecting the needs of clients and their employees to deliver outstanding client service.
