You could enter an environment where you will learn from technical experts and be mentored by an exceptional IS Manager within a business ofcirca 200 people and an extremely professional culture.This is your chance to start or enhance your career within Management Information and Business Intelligence.The role exists within central Glasgow and after some initial time, there may be the possibility to spend a day or two working from home.You will learn how to be responsible for the development and reporting of my Clients Management Information and Business Intelligence using tools and technologies, transform transactional BI data into useful information that will assist informedbusinessdecision making by Managers, Executive and Board members. Working with senior members of staff to produceMI packs which monitor key areas of the business and to deliver as visual dashboards including the ability toapply what-if parameters. Assist in thedevelopment of applications that interface with SQL databases.The role will entail:Translating business needs to technical specifications as well as the design, build and deploy BI and SQL solutions.Develop, implement and optimise stored SQL procedures and create tools to store data (e.g. OLAP cubes).Conductingunit testing and troubleshooting.Analysing existing SQL queries for performance improvements and collaboratingwith teams to integrate systems. The research of required data and creation of visualizations and reports forrequested projects.
