Job Description

STEM Recruitment Solutions is a leading provider of talent acquisition services, specializing in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) industries. We are currently seeking a skilled Facilities and Maintenance Engineer to join our clientsteam in the Glasgow area.Position Overview: As a Facilities and Maintenance Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the optimal functioning of our clients facilities. The role encompasses a diverse range of responsibilities, making it an exciting opportunity for individualswith a multifaceted skill set. The position is initially offered on a temporary basis, with the potential to transition to a permanent role following a successful settling-in period.Responsibilities:HVAC System Maintenance:

  • Execute routine maintenance tasks for Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems.
  • Troubleshoot and address any issues to ensure uninterrupted operation.
Chiller Maintenance:
  • Work with chiller systems, conducting regular inspections and maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with relevant teams to optimize chiller performance.
Regulated Environment Maintenance:
  • Perform various maintenance tasks in a regulated environment, adhering to industry standards and compliance requirements.
  • Ensure facilities meet necessary regulatory guidelines.
Ad-hoc Facility Maintenance:
  • Handle ad-hoc facility maintenance tasks, including basic plumbing and joinery work.
  • Respond promptly to unforeseen maintenance needs to maintain a seamless operational environment.
Company Maintenance Systems:
  • Update and maintain the companys maintenance systems and records.
  • Implement improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in maintenance documentation.
Contractor Management:
  • Coordinate with contractors for specialized maintenance tasks.
  • Ensure contractors comply with safety regulations and deliver quality workmanship.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in facilities and maintenance roles, with expertise in HVAC systems and chiller maintenance.
  • Familiarity with working in regulated environments and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Proficient in basic plumbing and joinery tasks.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Experience in updating and maintaining maintenance records and systems.
  • Effective communication skills for collaborating with internal teams and external contractors.
