Electrician - Qualified SupervisorLocation: Glasgow, G2 1BPSalary: £45,000 - £60,000 a year dependent on experienceContract: Full Time, PermanentHours: 8am to 6pm - 4 days a weekBenefits:

About Us:Due to our continued growth, we are looking for a QS to join our existing team. We operate throughout Scotland but predominately in the central belt. If you would like to work for a rapidly growing business, want to join a friendly team and are passionateabout providing an excellent service, this might be the job for you.Our clients include social housing providers, letting agents, property managers, private companies and property owners. We provide services including electrical testing, rewiring, upgrading, repairs, lighting upgrade, fire alarms and emergency lighting.Electrician - Qualified Supervisor - About the RoleYour role will be to carry out EICRs, remedial work and our other services on a part time basis. We operate on an 80% domestic and 20% commercial basis at present. The remainder of your time will be spent ensuring the results of the verification processare accurately recorded on the appropriate certificates or inspection reports for all staff. Undertaking site visits to ensure engineers are competent and adequately supervised.Key Responsibilities:
  • Prioritise, review and approve all certification to ensure timescales are met
  • Review and electronically sign each certificate to confirm compliance
  • Maintain appropriate degree of supervision of electricians and document accordingly
  • Coach, train and develop electricians to meet our minimum quality standards
  • Give positive and/or constructive feedback to electricians as appropriate at site visits, considering compliance and wellbeing
  • Ensure safety standards are met
  • Maintain your knowledge, experience, and understanding of current regulations and best practice through CPD
  • Identify and implement any external training required for electricians as regulations change or a training need is identified
  • Pass annual Approved Contractor and Domestic Installer audit with NICEIC
  • Respond to any day-to-day technical queries from the admin team or electricians.
  • Play an active role in interviewees if required during recruitment
  • Maintain the accuracy of test equipment used by electricians
Electrician - Qualified Supervisor - Skills & Experience: You must have adequate knowledge, experience, and understanding of the design, construction, maintenance, verification and/or inspection and testing procedures for electrical work. Have sufficient knowledge of applicable Building Regulations and Standardswhere relevant. You will be responsible for passing your annual NICEIC audit and ensure calibration and accuracy of all test equipment.
  • Previous experience as a QS is essential, covering both domestic and commercial work
  • Fully qualified 18th Edition electrician with at least 5 years qualified experience
  • Must meet the current NICEIC criteria to become a Qualified Supervisor
  • Well-presented and professional manner
  • Good interpersonal skills and strong teamwork ethic
  • Ability to exercise discretion and judgement
  • Confident working to deadlines and ability to work under pressure
  • Good attention to detail
  • Full UK driving licence
