Job Description

My client is seeking an Ecommerce Manager to join our Marketing Department, reporting to the Head of Marketing. Your primary responsibility will be optimizing revenue from web traffic. For this role, the role is up to £50k, plus a 10% bonus (Dependant onExperience).The company is an online retailer with multiple consumer brands, offering a range of products from homeware to beauty. They believe in providing modern, purposeful products at fair prices, making it easier for people to improve their homes without sacrificingtheir savings.They dont expect you to be a one-size-fits-all expert; this role is all about understanding Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) websites, differentiating between Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) and Search Engine Optimization (SEO), and having a strong affinityfor data.Your regular tasks will include:

  • Reporting on performance and sharing insights with internal and external stakeholders
  • Collaborating with marketing activities
  • Aligning web and email content with commercial goals
  • Monitoring stock levels
  • Ensuring the health of the product feed in Google Merchant Centre
  • Evaluating user behaviour through tools like Hotjar
  • Improving site speed with external development agencies
  • Tracking SEO performance for long-term growth.
However, your main focus lies in:
  • Shaping the ecommerce strategy and boosting critical key performance indicators (KPIs) like Conversion Rate (CR), Average Order Value (AOV), and Customer Lifetime Value (LTV).
They are looking for someone with Shopify experience and a strong affinity for data analysis.
  • Expertise in tools like Klaviyo, GA4, Google Data Studio, Search Console, and Tag Manager is essential.
  • Familiarity with site speed optimisation and heat mapping tools like Hotjar is a plus.
Beyond technical skills, they value commercial acumen, a drive for achieving top-tier performance, attention to detail, and efficient workload prioritisation, as making the right developments in the right order is crucial.The company initially sold on Amazon and eBay, achieving substantial success in 2022.
