Developer - Reference Data GlasgowAs a Barclays Developer - Reference Data, you will be joining Reference Data team within Markets Pre-Trade area. Get involved in projects focusing on server-side development (MS SQL, C#, Micro services, windows services, Workflow Engine, MongoDB, Elastic Search),with some elements of web development (ASP.NET CORE, Typescripts, REACT). What will you be doing• Comprehending the overall system design and can contribute to the system architecture • Identifying and implementing major improvements to existing procedures and team processes to enhance efficiency • Writing well structured, high quality and performing code • Providing accurate estimates for assigned work • Determining and escalating issues and risks in a timely manner to the development/project manager so that project risk can be mitigated with minimal impact • Working closely with team members in Prague, Pune, and New York - participating in and contributing to technical discussions What were looking for:• MSSQL T-SQL skills • Very good knowledge of .Net, .NET Core and C# • Good knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming, exposure to design patterns Skills that will help you in the role:• Basic Knowledge of Elastic Search, MongoDB, Kafka, React • Knowledge of source control tools, full knowledge of the software development life cycle • Excellent written and verbal English language communication skills Where will you be workingOur new state-of-the-art Campus, right in the heart of Glasgow is a hub of creative collaboration.
