Job Description

Commercial Plumber - Water HygieneLocation: GlasgowSalary: £23,000 - £28,000Hunter Mason’s clientHunter Mason’s client started back in 1985 in plumbing and water treatment. They have now identified the need for a commercial plumber who has both experience and knowledge in water hygiene, to join their rapidly expanding team. This position is immediatelyavailable for the right candidate, subject to satisfactory references being received.Duties and Responsibilities

  • As part of our South West engineering team, you will be responsible for completing water hygiene / treatment PPM, remedial and emergency works for example, humidification PPM, EVAC drainage reactive callouts, temperature monitoring, microbiological samples,CWST and TMV inspection and servicing, calorifier blowdown, showerhead clean and chlorination, flushing, water risk assessments (once qualified), audits, water filter replacement, water fountain PPM, etc.
  • Note - the role requires 1 week of nights per month completing humid PPMs for a high-profile retail client.
  • All works are to be completed in line with ACOP L8.
  • You will report to one of our Contract Managers and be supported by our Engineering Supervisor.
  • You will be contracted to 40 hours per week, Monday to Sunday, days and nights to meet business needs.
  • Overtime is available for those wanting to boost their income.
  • There may be the requirement to stay away from home, to complete works outside of your area.
  • 1 week in 3 on call rota.
  • All work must be completed in line with the Companys policies and procedures, particularly Health & Safety and RAMS must be followed for all tasks.
  • You must participate fully in 1-1 meetings, team talks and attend all mandatory training as instructed by your Line Manager.
  • Task paperwork is to be completed on a PDA device, via our Big Change system.
  • Timesheets are to be completed weekly and fuel returns monthly.
The package
  • Salary between £23,000 - £28,000 dependent on experience
  • We pay door-to-door, so as soon as you leave your home, you get paid, until you return at the end of the day.
  • Overtime available (standard rate + EVAC callouts at 1.5 times hourly rate)
  • Realistic OTE (including overtime + bonus) £26,000 - £32,000
