The Company Able Bridge Recruitment are currently working with a rapidly growing and highly successful accountancy practice in the Glasgow city centre. The client manager position has been the result of several years of growth and the partners recognising wherethe skills gaps are.The practice has been in business for a number of years and provides services to small, medium sized businesses through to organisations that turnover of tens of million pounds. The organisation work within a number of vertical markets which include construction,property investment, letting agents, beauty therapy and crypto investors.The role will report to the partners and will have an accounts senior reporting into them and intern an apprentice reporting to the accounts senior. You will lead the team and motivate individuals who work in your team as well as building strong relationships with client where you will offer them businessadvisory services.On a day-to-day basis you can expect to be responsible for the following;Manage the day-to-day accounting operations for a portfolio of clients with a personal touch.Prepare statutory and management accounts for review by the partners/customers.Assist your allocated portfolio with corporate and personal tax advice (basic advice and training is on hand).Oversite of the VAT return process ensuring that compliance is maintained at all times.Support junior team members in the training and mentoring to ensure that they are effectively upskilled.The RequirementsIdeally we are seeking a professionally qualified accountant, however our client is open to PQ or qualified by experience applicants who have previously worked within an accounting practice (within the UK). There will be a high degree of client interactionsso excellent communication skills in verbal and written form is essential. Applicants will be based in or around the Glasgow area and have the right to work within the UK permanently.
