Job Description

Butler Rose is working with one of the UKs leading independent IT and Communication experts in their search for a Billing Analyst to join their team. This is a permanent role and will pay up to £26,000 to the successful candidate. The location is flexibleand can be any of the locations (Glasgow, Liverpool, Cardiff, Godalming) and will include hybrid working. This role will be assisting the Senior Billing Manager in ensuring inputs and outputs of the billing system are reconciled and exceptions are managed and processed. The role will consist of providing first class billing service to customers and service internaldepartments in ensuring the billing is accurate and on time. The role will be responsible for testing new tariffs, products, and billing system functionality, helping the business understand changes and movements in billing, identifying data insights for furtherinvestigation and decision making. What you will do: Billing integrity checks * Work with internal departments to ensure accurate entry of reference data. * Responsible for analysis of billing data to ensure completion and accuracy of data such as supplier name, supplier cost, accurate margin etc and identification of anomalies or emerging trends. * Responsible for running test bills and rating reports to ensure accurate billing of new products and tariffs on 1st customer bill. * Be responsible for supplier onboarding - ensuring set up requirements sent to Union Street and new functionality tested and released for new loaders and products. Billing process * To liaise with multiple teams in the business in ensuring tasks effecting billing runs are completed in a timely manner by various users of the system. * Take responsibility for complete and accurate billing of allocated billing cycles. * Responsible for running and delivering monthly customer reports. * Analyse billing data for insights and understand general and unusual patterns to raise awareness of any issues pertaining from data entry, system functionality or inaccurate tariffs. * Determine and document reasons for change in billing from one period to another. Project work * To support the Senior billing manager in projects to streamline or improve existing processes and identify new opportunities for improvement. * Ownership of testing following changes made to the billing platform or process changes. * Support the integration and migration of new group companies on to the core billing platform. Reporting & Analysis * Carry out bespoke reporting for management, internal users and for managing ad hoc projects as required. * Take responsibility for managing the creation and distribution of supplementary customer billing reports. * To use internal databases and reporting tools to understand changes and movements in billing, identify new or emerging trends, interrogate data sources to identify drivers and communicate these to the business.
