Job Description

ABOUT THE ROLE We are looking for a smart, ambitious, Bid Writer to join our team. Ideally, you will have experience in a business-to-business solution sales environment, along with experience in writing tenders for a Security or Facility Management business. You willbe an effective communicator with strong comprehension and writing skills. Being project-orientated you will have a thirst for success and be keen to support the Sales team to generate and win new business. You will have the ability to meet tight deadlinesand be solutions-focused. You will be responsible for working alongside other departments taking ownership for collating information with a task-completion focus. You will be a team player, building on your own performance and sharing strategies and planswith your colleagues to achieve common goals and KPI’s.Our core values:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIESAs Bid Writer within a highly professional sector you’re accountable for supporting the Sales team to deliver new business against our ambitious sales strategy of achieving £50m turnover per annum by the year 2030.As such, we see the key responsibilities of the role as being:
  • Responsibility for ensuring tenders are submitted on time
  • Checking multiple portals for new opportunities
  • Flagging new opportunities to the corporate team to discuss at meetings
  • Actively participate in bid strategy meetings to prepare proposal responses
  • Establishing a timeline and assigning actions for completion
  • Compiling standard information into Selection Questionnaire forms
  • Tender preparations including proof-reading final production materials to ensure message quality, format and content are aligned with business expectations
  • Carry out reviews of incoming leads to determine the evaluation of requirements against products and services prior to bid/no-bid qualification
  • Undertaking market and product research
  • Demonstrating strong corporate writing skills to showcase our products and services
  • Uploading tenders to online portals
  • Filing information into the server
  • Maintaining our library of tender responses
