Job Description

Azure Infrastructure ArchitectHybrid - GlasgowSalary: £70-80,000In this role you will play apivotal role in collaborating with IT and business leaders to provide a comprehensive transformation vision and evaluate, design, and implement technology solutions and infrastructure services. You willaddress issues relatedto operational effectiveness, business change, security, integrity, and performance, aligning with the organizations business environment and needs.Additionally, in this role youwill identify potential technology innovations and engage with Technology peersand business stakeholders in line with roadmaps and strategic goals.Principal Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Gain an understanding of the business environment, technical landscape, end-user requirements, and organizational strategic direction.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance on cloud computing best practices, standards, and trends.
  • Evaluate, propose, and influence alternative solutions, integrating new internal or 3rd party solutions and services.
  • Demonstrate knowledge or appreciation of technologies such as AI/ML, Big Data, IaaS, PaaS, DevOps, Azure, AWS, Kubernetes, and Linux-based applications.
  • Serve as a technical Server design authority to multiple projects and group business units.
  • Design highly available, redundant, public cloud architectures for large-scale, mission-critical applications and high-transaction workloads.
  • Work closely with product development teams, analysts, developers, and business stakeholders to implement production-ready infrastructure services.
  • Aligning with cybersecurity and business objectives.
  • Provide technical assistance and mentoring for team members.
Skills & Experience:
  • Microsoft Azure Certification
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or CompTIA Network+.
  • 5+ years experience in a suitable role.
  • Terraform experience.
  • SDWan, firewalls & general networking experience
  • Familiarity with systems development lifecycle and Microsoft M365 and Client management tools (e.g., InTune).
  • Experience liaising with Senior Stakeholders.
