As a Barclays Axiom Developer, you will be joining Risk, Finance & Treasury Technology team within Local Regulatory Reporting area. In your new role, you will be instrumental in Reporting to the Axiom Delivery lead, the Regulatory Reporting. As an AxiomDeveloper, you will be a member of the Axiom Center of Excellence and be responsible for delivering regulatory reports to meet business requirements, with a heavy emphasis on both technical and communication skills. What will you be doing• Reviewing instructions published by the regulator and working closely with business stakeholders • Creating and reviewing technical specification documents • Being accountable for developing reports in Axiom, and/or other related objects • Developing Autosys batch schedules • Accounting for developing and testing of Unix scripts and PL/SQL packages based on technical specifications • Taking accountability for reviewing Peer code and Unit Testing • Assisting and coordinating user acceptance testing cycles with business stakeholders • Releasing/Packaging code into production What were looking for:• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Technology/Engineer related field or equivalent years of experience. • Solid Axiom experience • Exposure to Oracle/Unix • Experience in a financial institution with exposure to Regulatory Reporting Skills that will help you in the role:• Highly motivated team player and eager to learn with excellent interpersonal skills to foster working relationships with all stakeholders • Ability to work in a virtual team, across boundaries and ability to multi-task/self-sufficient • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Dedicated, reliable and demonstrates initiative/pro-active Where will you be workingOur new state-of-the-art Campus, right in the heart of Glasgow is a hub of creative collaboration.
